My God and my family are my life…
My name is April. I am from central AL. I have devoted my life to serving a mighty and gracious God. He has blessed me way beyond what I deserve. I am married to a wonderful Christian man named Brian and have 3 beautiful children.
Brian is a hard working, oh-so-forgiving, love me when I don’t deserve, pick up the house when he doesn’t feel like it, Sunday School teaching, Martin guitar playing, fruit tree and pepper planting, snoring dog loving, just plain wonderful man and I love him so much. We have been married for 10 years. I pray that God allows us many more years together. Is he perfect? Nope! But I am further from perfect than he. And yet, he still chooses to be my husband. I praise God that my poor decisions in the last 10 years have not run him off. He’s still here. And I have learned to make better decisions. And because he has made the choice to stay, with God’s help everyday, I will be the best wife I can possibly be.
My oldest son, Austin, has gone to be with the Lord. In 2006, at the age of 9, he was killed in a car accident. I am so thankful that 8 months prior to that accident he accepted the Lord as his Savior. I know that he is in a better place than here and I praise God for the 9 wonderful years I had him. He was a beautiful child and loved his mommy very much. I will miss him forever and I look forward to seeing him again when my work here is complete.
My middle child, “Bear”, was a survivor of that same accident. He is now 7 and truly a gift. He received Christ shortly after the accident so I am assured that we will all, one day, be reunited in heaven with our Maker. Praise God! Bear is a smart, family loving, Daddy rough-housing, costume wearing, stuffed animal loving, video game playing, church singing, computer savvy, McD’s eating, junk food loving (and still skinny!!??), keeps his room messy, falls asleep watching movies at night, kinda boy. He adores his sister until she starts getting on his nerves and he LOVES hanging out with his friends.
In 2008, we were blessed with a daughter, “CJ”. CJ is a pigtail wearing, I always get my way, paci sucking (hopefully not for much longer), stuffed bear loving, salsa eating, spicy food adoring, all the time singing, never slows down, picaboo playing, dog loving, moo cow loving, always slept in her bed (Thank God!), non TV watching, book reading, shoe loving, mobile phone talking little (and I do mean little) girl. She’s beautiful and a mess…all wrapped up in one.
I feel truly blessed to have such a wonderful life.
